A Big Apology

I have been the world's worst friend this Summer and I owe you all a big apology! I am so sorry I haven't made it to the great bbq, shower, and dinner!!! I am the WORST!! I know it is no excuse, but it truly has been a crazy summer with moving home, finding and moving into our house, and having Nate's parents come home! We had family commitments on all the nights I missed seeing you all! So I am a changed girl and can't wait to see you all at Kristie's wedding. Maybe sometime I could have you all over to my house one night when Nate is out of town! He travels for work 1-2 nights a week so we'll have lots of nights to choose from.

My Girls!

Hey girls :)! I just wanted to drop a quick hello to ya'll! I've had one of those weeks that you have where you just think about life and where it has gone and where it is going. haha you wouldnt think I would have those deep thoughts I'm sure but from time to time I do. It's been a hard week away from ya'll basically, I wanted you to know I knew what your friendships meant to me always but even more so now that I'm gone. Thank you for always supporting me in my adventures in life, cause I know I can be a random one. I don't know where I'll ever end up aup and hell if I know I'm fully where I should be but It's a comfort to know I have ya'll there to back me. (And now here is where I started the blog - hee hee!) Hi Girls! Well, Brandon and I just got home from California a couple of days ago and I thought I'd post a couple of pictures so you can see our trip!

Here is our first day at Huntington Beach! We also rented boogie boards and beach cruisers! It was so fun! I got pretty beat up by the waves! I wasn't even deep (the water was probably to my knees), I was trying to get deep to ride a wave. I'm standing there and suddenly I was rolling and tumbling forever because a wave got me. When I stood up the water was only to my ankles. Not sure what happened, but apparently I looked like a tumble weed flying across the beach. I was scratched and bruised. My hair was crazy and I think I still have sand in my right ear that likes to squeak! Hopefully it's not some ocean bug!!

The Surprise...

Last Saturday my baby sister had her bundle of joy just over two weeks early! My mom called when I was leaving the gym and said we had a new baby in the family. I took a shower and ran to Logan to meet the new tike. He's cute as can be and a welcome bundle of blankets and bibs for Brittney and Brandon. His name will be Raiden and I already love him. Here are a few pics...

Ugliest Shirt Contest

Working for Del Sol I never had to think about PTO. Maybe that was because I spent so much time working I didn't have time to think about time off.... who knows? At the new job they watch your hours meticulously so there are few things more precious than PTO. Part of "Employee Appreciation Week" included 'Ugliest Shirt Day' -- winner receiving 4 blessed hours of paid time away from your cubicle cell.

Here's a picture of the beauty I picked up. And, YES those are GIANT St. Bernard's, and YES the silky shirt comes complete with shoulder pads. (This pic is of the back of the shirt. The front is covered in the same beautiful flowers you see beneath the dog and stunning gold buttons.)


Needless to say she was the hit of the party. I'm not sure whether or not I should be insulted by how many votes I got, but it was a dang funny day regardless. Thank yous go out to Tanya for loaning the shirt and of course, to the big blue dogs.

My Trip out East....

Beware of Phone Thieves at Church!

You will never guess what happened in the church parking lot today. My car was broken into (again!). They took my phone, my charger and a pair of my favorite jeans. So sad. Ty was also in the car, but luckily they didn't take him. Whew. So anyway I will have a new phone tomorrow and I am able to keep my number but I need everyone's phone number!!!

Oh Hey!!

Hi everyone, it's Nat! So...great idea Rose and Haylie! It's been so fun reading all your posts! So we are back in Utah, yea! Nate graduated and now we are just looking for a house. We are living at Nate's parents until we find one. We are sort of settled at the moment...so I would love to see any of you that are around Salt Lake.

As an update...I think most of you know I had a baby boy in January. We named him Jack and he is such a sweetie. Grace will be 2 in July. Crazy! Here are some pics!

A day of Boating!!

Well theres alot from the past two weeks since I was in Virginia then New York and last this week Jared came for the Cubs game! Here was our boating day on Wen, it was alot of fun, my brother Jared about killed us on the tube, if you look closely on the top left hand picture its not a white line that would be my leg about to fly off!! haha

I want to post some from my trip out east but cant till i go home to Dallas this weekend, I gotta say the highlight was of course going to NYC! I freaken LOVED it even though it was just for a day it sucked me in for sure. We went to the twin towers of course then Manhattan, we took a horse carriage ride through Central Park and had this super cute Italian guy be our driver. Lastly we had a 9 hour drive back to Virginia that night after making a 7 hour one that morning, well the geniuses that we are seemed to get lost on the subway for 3 HOURS! We didnt start our trek back till 11:30 that night, needless to say it was the longest drive of my life (even beat our drive to Texas Monsen and Jones haha). I havent worked that hard in awhile for that wedding but it ended up being a great success! Anyways, its been a crazy kinda surreal life so far for me but i keep trucking and picture jobs are slowing coming in :).

My own girl night....

Where are my girls when I need them!!:) Mike had a bachelor party tonight so I decided to have my own girl night. It was supposed to be just me and some good treats......
I just tried the Take The Cake ice cream tonight. Oh my goodness that's good! Rose would probably be saying "big girl hungry" ha ha ha!! If you like white cake, you'll love it! And what's a treat night without some pizza!!

And than the best part about my night was some alone time to do whatever I want (very rare) but it didn't happen until about 10:30 because Trey decided he wasn't tired! So here he is doing his best to fight going to sleep. However, I think the fact that he has one binki in his mouth and another in his hand should tell you that it wasn't going to be long before he was cranky and needing his bed. It was only about 10 minutes!:)

So my girls night lasted about 25 minutes because once Trey fell asleep Mike was home and there you have it. I'll still take it:)

SUMMERTIME FUN!!

Hi Everyone!!

So I am not sure how soon we are wanting to have this BBQ, but I'm hoping we can wait until July. My nephew is in town this week and next. Then I leave for California (June 21-26)!! :) I can hardly wait!!

So far in July any night works for me except for Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Tuesdays are dance class nights and Wednesdays are YW nights. But any other days is great for me (except for July 16th which is my Mom's birthday)! Let's plan now so we really make it happen!!

I hope this works. I just updated the blog so that whenever anyone posts an entry or comments you will hear about it through email. It should make it easier to keep up with what is going on. I know I'm not the best at checking everyday.

Ok so I just watched the biggest hail storm attach my garden and all my new flowers. If they all die I'm done. AAAAGGGHHH!! Since when do we live in a rainy state. I feel like I'm back in MN. I'm just hoping all the rain doesn't bring the mosquitoes.

The BBQ sounds like a great idea. And another thing we need to plan is a BRIDAL SHOWER!!! I know the summers are busy for everyone and we all know how fast they go. So lets start thinking about a good time. Maybe post when your vacations are and Kristie what does your schedule look like! When do you want to have it?! Only 3 months to go! WOOO HOOOO Can't wait!

Hey Girls! Yes I think we should have the BBQ soon. I was talking to Katie and she said we could have it at her house once she is in and all settled. She has a big backyard and a zip line!! Whoohoo!

I've never been one to watch a lot of TV, but I've been watching The Bachelorette with some girls on Monday nights as a social escape. Turns out there are some really funny things on TV. Right after the BACH on Monday nights there's a show called ...

"Here Come The Newlyweds"

and it is dang funny. Like any other reality show they have different challenges for large sums of money, people get voted off the show and there's a token Mormon couple. Last week one of the challenges involved blindfolded women trying to identify their husbands' bum. This week involved women in a hardware store receiving cell-phone directions from husbands. Quality entertainment. You should all check it out.

Salsa :)

I thought you girls might like this recipe :)  I LOVE it....

VEGETABLE SALSA
 

1 can black beans (drained) you can also use soaked black beans

 
1 can shoe peg corn (do not drain)


1 can diced green chilies (drained- although you can't drain much off of them)


3 or more avocado (I used 3)


6-8 diced tomatoes (or 1-28oz can chopped tomatoes)- I used about 6


1 pkg Good Seasons Italian dressing


1/4 cup vinegar


Juice from ½ lemon

 cilantro, red onion, green onion (I only used about a handful of cilantro and just cut it with scissors)

Stir all ingredients together & chill. Serve with tortilla chips. I waited to add the avocado at the last minute so it wouldn't brown.

So Rose, I'm completely jealous of your trip to New York. It is one of my FAVORITE places! Please post pictures of everywhere you go so I can dream. That is where I wanted to go on my vacation this year with Brandon (he has never been), but instead we are going to Disneyland. Not that I'm complaining, because I defnitely love California, too! I will be there in three weeks! YES!

So many questions! As for me, I have been spending every night (practically) with 14and 15 year olds. Between cheerleading practice and Young Women's, I think I need to get a life. I decided the Highland cheerleaders hate me. Last night I had to go teach the West Cheerleaders a routine and they loved me. I guess I don't fit in with those East siders! J/K! J/K! Girlfriend Blog!

You know this girl loves to blog!! And I love this idea!! How creative and fun!!! Rose I had no idea you were going out east. I want to hear all about it, pictures, love stories, etc etc........:) Be sure to stick your bum out just a little further, fluff that red hair just a little more and I'm pretty sure the short shorts with the g's sticking out works everytime!! hahahaha
Well I've been thinking that since everyone has kind of gone their own way that we don't keep in touch nearly as much, so this will really help!! (say this next part like a rap song) Cause we seem to have all our girls in different area codes!! And that goes for all us representing the different area codes in Utah too :)
I'd love to continue writing but life calls! Hope all of you are having a great day. I'm heading to Reno this weekend to see my dad. I've never been there so I'm pretty excited. I'll say I'm a little nervous about getting on an airplane with Trey by myself (Mike is coming a day later) but heres hoping for the best!!!! Well well hello girls... :)  great thinking with the friend blog :)  I gotta say this is the first time ever I have blogged.  I mean, I finally joined FB and now Im a blogger HA...  

Everything is going good for me.  Thanks again everyone for coming to celebrate my bday with me the other week.  I missed not having you there my little Rose!  Florida was great even though it was pretty rainy.  Oh yeah, I just got a new roomate and she seems to be pretty cool so thats good.  So far nothing too weird in the bathroom so thats good.  Eeeek!  

Im thinking I might go on another date here soon so Im sure Ill be having stories about that.  Oh man...  Dating again.  Its still pretty crazy to think of starting over again.  At least its summer time and I guess a good time to get out there and meet people.  Yes girls, Im going to start getting out there and being more social :).  I love you all and I hope you have a great week!

Well hello my girls!! Haylie and I were talking the other day and Norr came up with a BRILLIANT idea...FRIEND BLOG!! I thought it was a great idea, I even thought it deserved as Katie would put it "Oh Baby Yeah!" We thought it could be a fun way to update each other with whats going on, put up pictures and videos! Us single woman can tell about out CRAZY dates we have to go on, you married folk can tell stories about husbands and kids....(you can include some dirty stories if you really need to hehe). My two weeks home!

Hello My Friends!

Well I thought I get us started! I can't believe I've already been gone for 2 weeks! On the other hand I can't believe that 4 years past by so fast living in Utah. Anyways, its been a crazy two weeks already, the first week I got home I got thrown right into the Rossi life. My Grandpa had surgery to get 6 stints put in his heart, they said all his arteries were clogged, but it helped alot and he's doing great! Two days after that Biggen (my little bro Mike) came home again from his mission. Although I was super bummed he is doing good, it broke his heart but once again just didn't quite get things fixed before he left. Needless to say we've had alot of "quality" time together and I havent killed him yet! I've been going back and forth from Dallas to Houston, I leave for Virginia and New York tomorrow then back to Houston two more times!! Lets just say it feels like Im on vacation and should be going to back to Utah....but Texas is once again home.

I have been trying to spread my photography like crazy, Mel, Lyd and Johnnie have been freaken amazing and have already gotten me jobs. I had my first family shoot yesterday, I charged the girl $200 and she gave me $300!! I know it doesn't mean to much yet but it sure is nice to have something in the direction I've been working towards! As far as men go......NOTHING yet but Big Girl is LOOKING!! I've put my butt out farther and wearing lower cut shirts so Im hoping for something soon! :) Anyways, sorry so much but it has been two weeks, I attached a little pic that keeps me smiling. I hope yall will do this, just everyonce and awhile, I'd love to see pics and hear about things! I love and miss yall!
